Ride quality of 3500 truck with light fifth wheel

Left for Florida 9 days ago from Hamilton, On. Can. Hit black ice an hour from home and totaled both truck and fifth wheel trailer. No other vehicles involved and my wife and I walked away unscathed,...

I dont think a stiffer suspension would cause greater stress on the pin box. I have a DRW and pull a 25' 5ver that has a dry weight of 4995.... I don't even know it is back there... I'm also using a gooseneck adapter with a 9" offset..... no issues at all over the last several years.
