Rushmore Lincoln RF39LN

Hello,

I attended the Dallas RV show yesterday just to look around and see what's new on the market. I currently own a 2006 Grand junction with the traditional sleeping area in the front. The trailer meets me my families needs nicely, however the new Lincoln RF39LN really grabbed my attention with the forward living area and the panoramic window out the front of the RV. I can't find any "real life" reviews on line except from those from the dealerships and they always plug the pros on these trailers. Does anyone have any real life experience good or bad on this 5th wheel
  • I purchased a 2014 rushmore lincoln on July 6 of this year. I can only speak to my experience with this unit. I have used my unit 3 times already. I have spent one week at myrtle beach and 2 different visits to pigeon forge. When I got home with my unit I found that a technician had hooked up the battery backwards, this ruined my external radio but was replaced by me dealer. I also had a few led lights out in my awning, a small crack in the bathroom door and a broken outside storage door holder. Everything has been fixed by my dealership prior to my 2 trips to pigeon forge. I have used my air conditioners (both of them) on all 3 trips with no issues. They kept the unit very cool at myrtle beach when the temp was above 90 everyday. This past weekend we used the furnace 2 different mornings in pigeon forge with no issues. My wife stated that she liked this furnace better than the one in our cedar creek because it was quieter and heated the whole unit evenly. All 5 slide outs work perfectly so far. I know that there could be more issues in the near future but right now i am very happy with the unit. I did purchase a 5 year extended warranty. I figured with 5 slides, 2 inside frigs, 1 outside frig, 3 tv.s and all other appliances I may get my money out of this warranty. I just hope my dealership continues to take care of me.
  • I too was there on Friday and the wife entertained the idea of front LR...

but if you think about it -
most of the time you'd be looking at your truck's butt or the parks driveway :)

Not convinced resale would be there either as you are limiting your potential buyers (IMHO)
  • Thank you very much for the information, the wealth of information on this site is amazing to seeing the "true" picture of what a manufacture is selling.
  • Plenty of owners on the Crossroads RV Forum, and from what I've read you need to keep looking for an RV. Sorry to the bearer of bad news.
  • One of our local dealers stated they would not be getting any more Rushmore's until the problems were resolved. We had looked at them on a previous visit. I commented about how nice they looked & unfortunately were a little too heavy for my TV. He didn't go into detail. He just said they wouldn't be getting any more until they were convinced quality had changed.
