Hello all,
This is my first camper and I need to put new tires on. After poking around I had decided on the ***Link Removed***. The guy who would mount them at the mom and pop tire shop felt that 14 ply was a waste of money.
We will be taking our little (2 y/o) girl with us camping and I don't mind spending the extra money on a commercial tire if it is less likely to blow out. I have heard the stiffer walls pull better as well.
The toy hauler is rated for 10,200 with 100 gal fresh. So worst case would be a slow careful tow of, say, 11k from the gas station to the campsite after filling up with water. Maybe 10 or 15 miles.
What are your thoughts? Is anyone running Gs on a smaller toy hauler?
Thanks
hmmm, link did not work. It is the sailun S637T
gosailun MRT Tire S637T
Don't think its overkill but not being familiar with that tire, I would think G rated tires need 100 or so lbs of air. If your RV is only rated at 10500lbs I would suspect you have 6 lug rims at the most based on the way manufacturers normally just put minimum sized axles on them so I'm not sure you could put G rated tires on 16" 6 lug rims because of the air pressure rating. You need 8 lug rims I thought for G rated tires.
