I have the GY G614s on my rig, but only had the cheap bombs as spares, so yesterday I bought 2 Sailun G637s and mounted them on my spare rims. They are the same size as the GYs and will not cause any problem with the being the same exact diameter of the GYs. In asking why the are now stamped with the ST logo, both people I spoke to in different companies said it was to get by the tariff on the LTs. Same tire, no change except for the stamping. I've been impressed with these tires since first seeing them, now I own a couple and when the 614s are due for replacement, will probably own more of them.
MY Sailun's are not the same diameter as the Goodyears. They are about 11/2 larger. Has the diameter changed?
I am also concerned if they are now and ST tire.
ST and LT tires are built to a different standard and must comply with different ratings.
Good point and I need to make a correction. They are much closer in diameter than the much smaller bombs I took off of the spares. Thanks for pointing that out. I stood them side by side and they are a slightly larger diameter. Sorry for misleading, but much better tires than what I currently had.
