The Michelin XPS Ribs is a commercial grade all steel ply carcass LT tire that Michelin recommends for commercial trailer service. The LT XPS Ribs work great on trailers with 6k and smaller axles and are much preferred over the usual poly carcass ST tire.
Michelin replacement policy says;
**it is recommended that any tires in service 10 years or more from the date of manufacture, including spare tires, be replaced with new tires as a simple precaution even if such tires appear serviceable and even if they have not reached the legal wear limit.
and from a Michelin XPS Ribs add says;
**Michelin® XPS Rib® tires are the best value per mile in the Michelin commercial tire lineup and an ideal choice for commercial trailers because of low rolling resistance (for better fuel economy), a long-wear tread design and retreadability. These tires also have the strength of a reinforced all-steel construction for lasting durability.
