I paid $1,600.00 for 4 G614's. I would not be willing to roll the dice on something that is untested to save $600.00. I hope these tires work out.
Good luck and keep us posted as we all will need more as time passes.
Smart move IMHO! I have owned two sets go GY "G" tires with many thousands of miles not even a flat. Both sets were dated in 07, prior to that time they did have some problems but since have been VERY trouble free.
If you do have a problem GY WILL pay for damages and a new tire. Not another out there will do the same.
Strange rationale for purchase.
GY paying for damages:
GY had to bite the bullet several years ago when they lost out in court. IMO - GY would rather *not* be there again.
Of course - GY WILL compensate you for down time during repairs, right?...:h
IMHO - I've never purchased *any* tire brand that has had a record of failures (ahhhh - "problems"), never had a tire failure or flat either (TTs & 5ths since 1975) - so guess I'll just keep on rolling the (non-GY) dice...:W
