Seasonal Campground

Hi all ,
We are thinking of getting a seasonal site for our 5th wheel for the upcoming season.
We live in ocean county nj. and are looking for some place nice, safe , affordable ,and fairly close.
Any suggestions from our members would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

  • We are in northern ocean , by the six flags outlets ,I would like to keep it under or around a hour. There are several close by us, "under 15 min." but I wouldn't spend a nite there let alone the season.
We used to weekend at beachcomber a couple times a yr. with our old 5th wheel ,35 footer ,and found it tight to back up in, and now with the new 39 footer, we and the group decided not to bother with the headaches, thanks but sorry.
I will have to look into triple brook , we usually travel south of us , new York state , pennsie ,but never ventured into north jersey.
    Thanks for the heads up.
I actually like Sea pirate in west creek for close weekends, just under a hour from home which makes it convienent(?) but don't know any seasonal's there. I'll have to inquire about it.
    Thanks , keep them coming
  • Depending on what part of Ocean County you live in you are probably about 2 hours or less from Triple Brook Camping Resort in Hope NJ. We have been seasonals here for 3 years. It is mostly seasonal and the folks are real nice. It is like a big extended family. In fact we get together with several folks right after the holidays for "Winter Camping" at a hotel but we still have fun and its great to see everyone again. The place is very safe and so many of the fulltimers look out for each other. Never had any property stolen or messed with. The weekenders usually come in and are respectful of the seasonal folks. If they are not the owner is quick to get them out of there. The owner Ira and his wife Ozzie do a great job of keeping the place clean and safe. It is hard in NJ to find a place such as Willow Tree in South Carolina but out of all the places in NJ we found Triple Brook to be close and very nice. The owner lets you build decks and allows you too make a nice cozy get away so long as it is neat and well kept. I highly recommend this place. We now bought our second 5th wheel to travel in and keep our first one at Triple Brook all the time. I cant wait for the spring to get back up there. We are 1 hour away. The season is from Mid April to Mid October. Good Luck.
  • beachcomber camping resort, Cape May, NJ.
Has a Trailor Life directory rating og 8.5/10/9 rating.
we stayed there...nice , conveniently located to beach, etc.
fishing pond on site, other amenities.
    we would camp there, again.
  • And many good locations, like the one we seasonal in, have a waiting list
  • I can't help with a location, but I wish you luck in finding a seasonal now. Most campgrounds are closed until April and the seasonal's have been claimed by now. At least that's what we found when looking for a seasonal on the Cape last summer. Good one's go fast.
