slide out

I have a titanium 24E29 fifth wheel and when I went to push the switch to move out the slide doesn't do anything. what can I do to find where the problem is and how to fix it. It is not a problem in the fuse box in the unit. how can I test the motor to make sure the motor is good? Please respond with anything you can think of or if you have had a similar problem. Now my husband just did something with the motor and cross wiring with battery to find out the motor is good and then the slide started working? What the heck.. Still don't know why this happened. any answers?
Thank You
Lynn

When something electric doesn't work, you need to follow the path of the voltage with a volt meter to see where it stops. If you tamper around and it just starts working, loose connection is highly possible.
  • Get your volt meter out and start tracing power it the only way to figure out what is wrong.
  • Titaniums have a bad habit of wiring connections immediately behind the wall switch working loose.

I suggest you go over to the forum at "www.titaniumrvowners.com", register and post your question. Lots or experience and assistance there.
  • Based on jumping it direct to the battery - sounds like testing the switch is the best place to start....
