slide

Hi. I have a friend who has a new forest river hemisphere 5th wheel. This weekend his slide, levers and awning stopped working suddenly. Checked allthebreakers 12v and 110v all good. Ac worked and 12 lights worked. Had to use manual operation to getslide out. What else is there to check. Thanks
  • This probably isn't your issue but for future reference, slides are generally protected by an auto-resetting breaker that's hidden somewhere besides the breaker panel. (Nice huh?)
  • Checked the battery disconect ,ok. Didn't see any reset, even looked at back or fuse panel. ???
  • It can be under the RV near the motor, behind fuse panel (as you checked) or anywhere that was convenient when they were running the wires.
I've run into them purely by accident and thought I would never have checked there for that!
  • I have been frustrated with the front slide on my Blackstone trailer. It will not slide in or out without using the reset procedure. This spring camping world replaced both motors and railing. Still didn't work. I then replaced the electronic module. Still doesn't work - plus having trouble getting returned phone calls from camping world. What I have just noticed after doing the reset function and running the slide in and out about a dozen times is when the slide is out all distance measurements are equal, but when the slide moves in it both sides do not stop at the same time.
  • I had the same issue. My breakers are in the front compartment, on the right side, behind a panel.
They look like a terminal buss, and the reset button is on the left side, hidden by the wires. Push them in to reset them (there are 2). Why they make them so hard to find/see, I don't know.
