Slow kitchen sink drain question....

2015 Keystone Mountaineer, kitchen sink worked fine all weekend. Today while cleaning up the wife says the sink won't drain??? I first drained all the gray water then checked the other sinks.... all good.

Under the kitchen sink it's very easy to un-hook the trap and dump it out. That seemed to help just a bit but still very slow to drain. Any ideas, I was thinking in-hook the trap again and run something down the pipe. There must be a clog somewhere.

Hey OP........2 days ago you were going to hook up water and check.

Well?

Did you look for another drain valve under/behind/around/between tires????
Is it time for your medication or mine?

I think that all the Montana line have two Grays. Second pull mounted thru the Frame, just ahead of the front axle or sometimes between the axles. That issue shows up all the time on the Montana forum. You might want to join over there and see if a member has the same exact model you have, might be able to help.

Easy way to confirm..........with slides retracted LOOK around tires for another drain valve handle. Real hard to see/locate/access when slides are extended.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but . . .

You have 93 gallons of gray capacity. 99% sure that is 2 tanks. Check for another dump valve. My Laredo had 2. Only way to get that much capacity is 2 tanks.

After work today I'm gonna hook water up to the camper and see if the trip home shook something loose that could have been stuck in the pipe. As far as there being another grey tank and another pull valve, I believe this would have already happened to me in one of the last 5 trips. Sounds to me since really nothing big could get thru the sink to get stuck it must be related to the vent or that valve under the sink.

If you have a 2nd 40 gallon gray tank that has yet to be dumped.
5 trips is about enough for it to be totally full.
2-3 trips would generally not fill it, But by 5 it is full!

Just a thought...Past 5th wheel we had, the bathroom sink had a piece of pipe that went from the sink drain and over and made a 90 turn and down to gray water tank. The sink became real slow, I clean out P trap couple times, with no luck. As it turned out, the pipe that went from the P trap to gray water tank became loose at the fitting and vibrated down (but didn't leak) and the drain pipe was no longer running down hill. Sink would drain all but last 1/4 then water would sit there. Easy fix once I found the problem.

So double check to make sure drain pipe is still running down hill.

With a 93 gallon grey water capacity I would say you have 2 tanks. When I bought my Winnebago Lite5 the dealer told me I had 1 black tank and 1 grey tank. Since there was only 2 levers in the compartment I took his word for it until I looked underneath the rig and there was another tank lever for the kitchen. Just saying.

Also, it may be a one way valve or diaphragm that did not reopen--it is in the drain line under the sink. We had that problem last week. At first we thought it might be a full gray water tank too. It was not. Good luck.

OP stated he had 'P' trap.

You referenced a one way valve........are you saying you don't have a 'P' trap but a bladder valve trap known as a Hepv0 (self sealing waste valve)

Ah, good catch, Old Biscuit. Yep, that's what I have. Disregard my earlier answer, OP :-).
