Question

Some online riders were kicking around a campout around Julian / Borrego Springs perhaps in Late Jan to Early Feb. The wife and I have wanted to take a winter campout. The locals would likely tent.

We're street and sport riders. Have heard about Mt Palomar ride.

Any recommendations appreciated.

I noticed that most of these parks are closed in the summer and have pools. confused.

Be aware that they are predicting the El Nino event is supposed to get serious in January and February. Lots of rain and snow in the forecast. Now, how much will get that far south.......

I've stayed at Butterfield Ranch a few times for a dual sport ride in February and it works out great. Older park that is being refurbished. Management was nice. Right in the state park. Haven't been there in a couple years but planning on 2016
