Never had any other.......there may be a better hitch out there,
and certainly owners of other brands will say theirs is best.
But - firm believer if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I did the same thing with a bungee. Directions said to tighten bolt so there is no play by hand. Mine was like that but at the same time you are supposed to keep well lubed with W-40 which makes for easy sliding when not in use. So I bungeed it down.
