Saw the other similar post but I am actually asking about space heaters for the garage. I have 2 boys aged 12 and 9 and a 12 foot garage in my 2014 Voltage with one heat vent. Have not camped with it ...

I've come to prefer the shorter oil filled models.
The taller models are fine, however the shorter model are a bit more stable simply because they are lower to the ground.
Being smaller allows them to be placed in more out of the way locations.
The smaller units are more expensive vs. the standard taller more common model.
I use 3 oil filled space heaters and avoid using the LP furnace as much as possible. 2 of the 3 are tall and only one is short. If /when the others fail I will replace them with short models.
