Suggestions on making homemade outside patio shade cover

We park our fifth wheel in Parker AZ for 5 months in the summer. Since we have a cement pad we wanted to put a large patio cover/carport next to the rig. We have seen some in the past that looked home...

We are going to make a new cover for our Gazeebo. We are buying outdoor fabric that is used for shade. It comes 60"wide so you only need to sew a few widths together and buy the length. We are making the frame from wood, however our friends used steel not plastic conduit. Both our friends and ours will be on a cement base.
