t handle on valves

Well I finally found out what is going on. The valve handles are cables leading across to the valve. I rethreaded the sleev and finally fixed it. WHAT A PAIN !!

I have a different take on understanding your problem. As I read your post, the brackets of the valve housing broke so that the valve assembly is intact, just the "ears" that bolt to the frame. You could try a plastic epoxy repair. Clean all grease and "crap" from the housing, mix up a liberal amount of the epoxy and re-bond the mounting ear to the valve. Use lots of epoxy, way more than you think is necessary, and if you want to, after the first treatment has fully cures, add more. When fully cured, usually within 24 hours, re-drill the mounting holes, file if necessary to make it flat where it mounts to the RV frame. If I misunderstood the breakage, my apologies.

You shouldn't have to cut it off, the valve is a guilitine type wafer that bolts on using four bolts, basically sandwiches the valve between two flanges. one should be glued to the drainline, the other will fall off with the valve.

Oh you might want to drain the tank first :).

Not to hijack the thread but I have the same problem. Need a new T-handle on one of the valves. My other problem is that when the valve is all the way closed, I am still getting water that leaks past it. It is the kitchen valve and it has been doing it for a long time now. I hat to have to cut it off and replaced it.

if just the threads broke off and you have enough rod left you can run a 1/4-20 die on the stem and rethread it, or replace the valve.

Can you post a picture? When you start talking about a part thru the frame of the trailer, I think that it's a cable actuated valve. If that's the case you don't need to replace the actual valve itself, just the cable and T-handle.

My suggestion, snap a pic of it and head to the dealer. They can either fix it for you or help to order the parts.

As there a number of types and styles I think your dealer will be your quickest bet.
