I have a Keystone Cougar 328QBS and am interesting in tandem hauling a small single axle trailer with a golf cart or possibly a side by side unit. How many of you out there tandem haul and what kind of hitch weight am I looking at? Thanks.

I built my hitch and my tilt trailer, I can pick up the tongue with the golf cart loaded and move it around. I don't even know the cart trailer is back there when towing. My camper is 34' and the cart trailer is a 6' by 9.5'. Most tilt trailers have the axle a little forward of center so they will stay tilted, mine sits behind center line so it pulls good but I weighted the rear so it will stay tilted. This setup works really well, and it pulls great. Minimum trailer size for a cart is 4X8 but all of the weight on a cart is under the seat, so I think a little longer trailer is better.

I use a Swivel Wheel. You can see weight calculations at their website. Course, if you already have a hitch, you may not want to fork over the extra money needed for the swivel wheel receiver set up.

But being able to back up easily does have it's advantages.
