For all the people in the market for a truck RAM's rear air ride option is IMHO the best thing a person can have for a good ride loaded/unloaded towing or not. The truck maintains ride height from no load to max RAWR. I like being able to use the truck right out of the box.

I've had both, I prefer the air bags since my load varies. If I was hauling my ATV and towing the camper the Timbrens were fine but if it was just one or the other the ride would be rough. Also unloaded the ride was rough, that 1/2 inch of clearance between the Timbrens and the axle is fine running down the highway but on secondary roads the suspension sometimes flexes more than that.

The air bags are great, I can adjust for whatever load I'm carrying and the ride is nice.

Looked at these Tibren things and it's nothing more than a larger bump stop??? I don't see the point or reasoning on how this "improves" your ride? I see how it can prevent you from sagging when loaded but now your just riding around on a bump stop and you lost suspension travel every time you hit a pot hole or city t i t t y. I'll look into it more but so far glad I got my truck with the auto level suspension

Wrong

That explains a whole lot...... of nothing. Can you do a better job than that?

When they are installed correctly, there is about a 1/2" gap between them and the bumpstop so your unloaded ride isnt affected. They are more flexible than a bump stop. I use them, and i dont notice them at all unloaded. With my 5th hooked up, they engage, and took that last little bit of sag out of my combination.

2nd truck that I have put timbrens on. Works for me because I am either driving unloaded or fully loaded. Unloaded they are setup so they don't touch and don't change the ride.

I have had both, and I like both. Air bags were nice for the adjustability, but I like the durability and less hassle of the timbrens. I had one airlift airbag failure.
The timbrens on my yukon are in contact with the axle when unloaded, which makes for a harsh ride when not towing. While towing, however, they are excellent.
Sumosprings have 3 products that are very similar to timbrens, one of them looks to be much more progressive rate than timbrens. Might be worth looking into.

Update: I replaced the oem autoride electric shocks with Monroe load adjusting shocks on the rear and the axle is no longer in contact with the timbrens (unloaded). I took it for a short test ride tonite, and the unloaded ride quality is great now.

After reading numerous posts and reviews, I went with the Timbrens for my 2015 Ram 2500. I received them yesterday afternoon and had them installed 30 minutes later...so easy, 2 bolts on each side is all it took. I did not use the included spacer as it put the bottom of the Timbren too close to the axle stop. I won't know how well they work until the beginning of April, but I am hopeful that they will take out the 2" of dip that my 5th wheel puts on my truck's suspension.

I didn't like the fact that the truck rode like a log wagon when it was loaded. If that's the ride you like...enjoy!
