TH Question

Quick question for you all... I have a TC and I love it. But my wife wants something a little bigger because the kids are getting older she thinks it is getting cramped inside (plus she wants more space to get away from me at times I think!).

I tow my Jeep behind my TC almost all the time for various events and reasons. My question is: Are there any toy haulers that have a 4k cargo carrying capacity in the back? The most I can find in 3k. My Jeep weighs 3.3k but figured I would need a little extra weight for the other stuff. We also have a couple of Honda fourtrax we carry around on a trailer at times. The tow vehicle will be the vehicle in my signature (2008 F350 DWR/DSL) so size and weight shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks - Eric
  • When you say vrv are you talking about livin lite or vrv inc.? There are two different companies now with much different quality. I looked at 4 livin lite quicksilver and Polaris coaches this weekend at a dealer in Texas and was shocked at the poor quality. Everyone had panels delaminating where they over lapped with the junk tape they used. Should have taken pics. Drove 2 hours to look, stayed 30 minutes to hear that they fixing this problem. They better for a 40k 26 ft. Glad I went to look at construction before having a fifth wheel shipped here from Minnesota!! Are the atc trailers better maybe? They are bad expensive either way but these almost looked as bad as the weekend warrior I had to give away.
  • How much does your Jeep weigh? You will have to remember that each option will add weight to the trailer so once you fill up water and LPG, you may be too close to the maximum capacity of the axles to haul the Jeep. They are very lightweight which allows them to be towed by lighter vehicles but that also limits what you can haul inside.
  • You want the car trailer type toy hauler with living quarters. Work and Play is the most common, but Carson, Millennium, Feather Lite and In-Tech are others.

Many of the doors are only 6' high on the standard units, so if your Jeep sits higher you may have to look at the last three I listed which will make one at any height you request.
  • You might want to check out the VRV Line, they are all aluminum and also offer a fifth wheel version. Check them out on facebook. I have a 26fb model.
