Our new 5th Wheel has those crank out from the bottom windows. The wind must have pulled both control wheels out of the slot and the window is free floating now.
So, anyone have a way to get the wheels back in their slot? I'm about to drill out the pop rivets holding the handle in, pull the apparatus loose, re-insert the wheels into their window slots, and pop rivet it back in place.
Tell me somebody has fixed this without all this work.
Thx

Sounds like a warranty issue to me. Factory may have a fix for it so it doesn't happen again.
Lar - read my post above. I haven't tried this but it might work. Inside on the top of the bottom window that is free floating, there's a screw that faces down and holds the top of the window on the unit. If you remove that screw, you might be able to remove the window. Then you can rotate the rollers straight out, slide them back on the track, then pop the top of the window back in and reset the screw. I'm not sure if this will work - as our window was free floating and the top of the window became bent. I tried to duct tape the window shut to the trailer, but we have a 7 year protectant coating that kept the duct tape from sticking. I don't know - but it may be worth a shot.
