Tire pressure loss

Mine are usually down five or so pounds after sitting for a few monrhs.

Well back from Kelowna, no problems to speak of, I did post about propane detector going off, still have to figure that one out, but hub temps seemed good, highest I noticed I think was around 130F going on the coquihalla, coming back today in the rain they and the tires were cool to the touch, did not even check the temp.
Towing up hills engine did get to probably around 110Celsius, tranny did get close to the red zone, but these were at least 10 mile hills, and it cooled down along with the engine pretty quick once on level or downhill, so think all in all this 2003 GMC 2500HD I bought is doing alright, it was its first major test, oh and the A/C the guys at work recharged let go again, so guess it has a bad leak, so did not worry about it.
Home now pretty well till next year.

Thanks, aired tires on fifth to 65 and truck tires to 70, we leave tomorrow.

I normally run my FW tires at max 65 lbs., when towing. When I winterize, in the late fall, I air them up to 69 lbs. My reason is to reduce flat spotting over the winter/early spring, due to cold weather air loss, and lengthy non use.

When I check them in May, I have to let air out, down to 65 lbs.

That sounds about normal. I air my FW tires to maximum psi; but it is fairly well loaded.
