?? The water in the bowl keeps the seal from drying out, it also helps sealing from oders! You do not have a couple of gallons of water, more like a pint of water, but water you have! Not to be picky, but if you had only 10 volts your battery would be stone dead! You have almost 13 volts, but it is referred to as a 12 volt connection! And I agree with another poster, why? Just more stuff to go wrong!
