How "normal" is it that I have to put air into my Trail Air pin box on each departure (every 1-3 weeks)?

Cummins12V98, I suspect that you could use a larger bag for that MS. My first Alpenlite had a leak in the stock sized bag & pressure was up around 100# to bring it to the line. Heavy trailer like the MS.

Got a replacement larger bag. Only needed 60# to get to the line & rode better since it could squish more.

I don't think they make a larger bag. This one works fine.

We have had our center point suspension for several years. Maybe when the product just came out like "2003 0r 04". Had a gauge that leaked in the beginning but no issues now. We do have a different style of rving now because we sit for 6 months in Az and the air is out of the bags and same for home . No air is added during the road time and a long trip from Wa state to Texas and back to Az this season.

chevman PS we also have an air hitch without any air issues since 2001.

Hehehe I have a 5th Airborne and it did leak a little. Well I put some green slime in it or fix-a-tire stuff. They told me not to, but I got tired of putting air in it. I can go about 6 months before I need air

Whatever it takes to bring it up to the line on the shock with the pin weight on the hitch, not to exceed 100 PSIG.

Try the 100psi overnight, it worked for me on the last MS.

I normally run 82.5 PSIG in my TrailAir tri-glide to bring it up to the line. After a few weeks, it will bleed down to 60 PSIG or so. I suppose, since I'm retired now, I should take the time to try to chase down the slow leak. Maybe I'll do that - if I get around to it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Had a Trail air. Really liked it but found that it took an awful lot of pressure to get it up to the line.

Turns out that the pinweight was too much for the airbag. Replaced with a larger bag & BINGO, required pressure down to where it was supposed to be.

Rode better too.

Pressurize to 100psi overnight. Spray a little soapy water on the valve stem.

The 100 psi works on the CenterPoint bags also.

I have a Trail Air up front and the centerpoint suspension out back, and onboard air for both. A little viair 90 compressor starts at $66 on Amazon, add 10-15 feet of 1/4 inch air brake tubing, a pair of fittings, and a power switch, fuse, and some wire and you can have onboard filling of the trail air.

I have to admit that I am in the crowd that DOES have to air up every few days. I also carry a small air compressor. I would say I can go a week at the most. Mine has been that way for several years. I've learned to live with it. Maybe I should try another route.

I have to top mine up after it sets a few weeks. I keep a cheap 12v compressor in my truck just for that.
