Transmission hump mods

Unlike my '03 F250 which had a pretty much a flat trans hump, the '15 has a couple indentations (one on each side of hump) which make it anything but flat. Unable to keep either a box of tissues or baby wipes w/o falling into footwells, what have others done to keep said things or other items from falling from this area? One thought I had is to get a couple pieces of lumber cut to fit both depressions and just high enough where they are even w/ top of hump, then add thin piece of luan to the wood to make a flat surface.

Ford Had a great area before and now re-designed things and not only ruined a flat area, made the same area smaller (front to back) and also make it difficult to mount a cb radio. Have another idea for that, but want to address the trans hump 1st.

Building a custom platform is probably your best solution. Years ago we had them in our pickups to hold a work order clipboard.

I take the box of tissues and slap a piece of double sided carpet tape on the bottom. Then stick it to the carpet on the trans tunnel. Been doing that in all my vehicles for many years.
