We even secure our pets for their safety and ours!
I learned my first time out - it is just terrible to go into the camper and find things all over the floor. Even our paper towel will totally unravel itself if it is not secured or stowed.
Maybe this is different for the occasional RVers who drive 20 miles to a campground and back, but we drive thousands of miles and if it is not pot holes it is (always) one idiot that cuts right in front of me and then steps on the brake!
Items not secured become projectiles!
