Trying to install washer/dryer combo, it wont fit

We just got our 5th wheel back after 4 months in the shop. As a "homecoming" gift for my wife I bought her a w/d combo. Before lugging this thing in I measured the space. it wont fit!

The camper is set for a washer in the master closet, the connections are there but unless i am missing something I cannot hook it up.

The space is 24" wide, the washer is 23.5" so good there. The issue is the connections are in a recessed box on the left that is lower then the top of the washer. There is less then 1/2" space between the side of the machine and the hookups not even enough room for the plug to fit.

am I missing something or did keystone set my hookups too low?

Washer is a splendide 7100xc

it is 33" tall, the top of the recess is 26" off the ground.

Sorry for the crummy pic, flash is broken

  • We had ours installed before we pulled it home.....I didn't want my honey to fight with it. It does look like it's a tight fit in there! I love my washer/dryer! We are full timers and life would be crazy without it! :)
  • Tell her it can't be done, return the washer/dryer, take the money and buy some beer and chips and watch the baseball game while she goes to the laundromat.

The information is out there, all you have to do is let it in.
  • I installed my splendid 2100xc last weekend
Install hoses then lift into place.
Depending on the wall you could run the hoses inside the wall by drilling holes. If it's an interior wall.
I had to make an extra big entrance to get my vent hose to meet the vent.
