update

I wanted to give you a long overdue update on us.
Dutch is recovering from his total ankle replacement surgery and it seems to be healing quite well. He should have the stitches removed next week and hopefully start PT. His main health issue that they have been working on since October still hasn't been diagnosed but we're still trying. They say, ankle wise, we should be able to leave AZ in about 4 weeks.
Unfortunately, we won't be traveling far as I have to get back to S. Ca to have a 2nd heart Ablation as the 1st one didn't take and while they did re-pocket the pacemaker that was causing all my pain, they didn't see that they also had to move all the wires deeper inside as they are causing as much pain as the pacemaker. Not sure I have too much faith left in any doctors for me right now :(but I'll prevail. Out goal is to be able to get back on the road by end of May/beginning of June. Hugs, Di

If you ever get back on the East Coast, try and look up Dr, Danial Frisch ..EP at Jefferson Heart . .he did both my ablation s, and my Pacemaker... the man has a gift !

Good Luck to you both....Happt Easter

  • Thank you Joe for the info. Being full timers, we do have the luxury of traveling where ever we want. Growing up in the suburbs of Philly, we do know our way around. I'm going to have a long talk with this 2nd doctor who moved the pacemaker but failed to realize the lines were in the way before I make a final decision. Thank you again. Hugs, Di

I am in Bucks County . . Sounds like you know the area well. !
  • Great to hear from you Di!

I can tell you from wintering in the Coachella Valley for 11 years if you want the BEST healthcare stick to the Eisenhower system. Stay Far Far away from Kennedy in Indio!!!

I will email you the heart Dr that my Dad and MANY others here have full faith in.
  • My wife had her 2nd ablation in Banner medical center in Phoenix on Mc Dowell road on the 7th. Seems like a great hospital with wonderful people for her.
