Sometimes the devil is in the details... easy to overlook
this minor flaw.(see photo) The exposed spring on the T-bar
is incorrect... the mechanism still functions, but the 3/8"
pin does not extrude thru the hole on the opposite side of
the arm and bracket. Probably not a life threatening situation
(but, appropriate Barker "snaps" tracked on Amazon and are
now en route). As I set these on extension one side at a time
it is/was easily over-looked. Don't be like me. I picked this
error up after unit moved to storage. I'll do better next time.

p.s. apparently 2 sizes are available, depending on the arm hole
size ...I believe "standard" is 3/8th " but there exist some
with 7/16th" needs. Best to measure.

Breaking is not the greatest problem. Extending the pin thru both sides is a lot more common problem which allows the weight to sit on the pin that is only stuck through one side. All this weight on one side of the leg will have a tendency to shear the pin or bend it in such a way you cannot get it to release and allow the tube to be moved. Don't ask me how I know this.

Nice Russ...elegant simplicity... that looks a bit
mas macho then my (on-order)replacement. In the future
I'll pay better attention to these quick pins... don't
even want to think what could happen if one side decides
to take a break, recovery would be labor intensive I'm
sure.

Looks like the spring has worked its way out past the end of the tube, for sure time to replace.

I really like mine, took a bit to get firmly locked around the tube, but work great and clean look.

Yep Jeff...in shopping replacements I noticed quite a few
varieties of achieving the same result seem to exist. Not
sure which method is "best" so I opted to replace with similar
to manufacturer o.e.m. . After release of the T-bar, both sides
are very stubborn in releasing... usually requiring the shimmey-
shimmey-shake to free up. So, I probably broke the retaining
plate allowing the spring freedom.

Probably best to engage the pin yourself and not rely on a spring. Has worked well for me.
