Washer Wash out

Was opening our new trailer this past weekend.

Started the dewinterization process by clearing the lines of RV antifreeze. All was going well until my DW starts screaming something about the washer line. I run in the fifth wheel only to find antifreeze soaking the carpet around the washer/dryer hookup. There was no overflow, nor any obvious leakage area.

On going back outside I see RV antifreeze dripping off the hitch. It had run down the floor to the hitch. Looked for an obvious crimped line, misaligned drain pipe and could not find anything in the front/side baggage areas or battery area.

Kept lines pressured and could not see any further water and carpet started to dry out. Looks like another warranty call with the potential to tear apart the closet area in the front cap, as we do want to install a washer, let alone having to winterize the lines again next fall.

Other than a non functioning micro-wave, which the dealer has agreed to swap out, the rest of the weekend was great and we do really enjoy the new trailer.
  • Ok, not familiar with that one so maybe you can get someone who has one.
  • We had a guy show up a couple years ago with a leak in the washer line. It was a staple that I found that was in the line between the BR vanity and washer area and finally rusted out to from the leak.

  • A similar thing happened to my BIL this weekend. Forgot the W/D spigots were open, and as soon as he connected to city water, he had an instant flood. Ruined his weekend for sure.
