Waxing the TH

I would go to a couple of local RV Resorts/parks to see if they have regular detailers that come through the park. That's where we found the guy we use.

Camping World and some RV dealers have a detailer/washer service available. I had a mobile detailer wash and wax my toy hauler in front of my house and it easily took half a day, but he did a good job. Unfortunately, he is no longer available and I have not found another service that does the job as well as he did.

Check with area automotive detailers. Same goes for mobile ones.

Is it still $10.00 a foot?

A friend of mine found a screaming deal where he gets his done so I am giving it a shot. The place usually charges $14 a foot but he prepaid and got us a deal for $210 per trailer including our duallies being hand washed!!

No, I call that flogging the dolphin..

As it turned out the trailer was more oxidized that I had thought. I ended up having them orbital polish it for an additional $125 so I was still under my $350 budget. It looks significantly better than it did but still has a couple of blotchy areas. Next year it will need to be compounded and wow is that a job...

After checking the prices for someone to wax my trailer here in Arizona, I just had my wife wash and wax the Toyhauler with Mcquires cleaner wax 50 and it only took her two days to do the job. She is getting older and slowing down some but it is important for men to remember that, as women grow older, it becomes harder for them to maintain the same quality of trailer maintenance as when they were younger. When you notice this, try not to yell at them. Some are overly sensitive, and there’s nothing worse than an oversensitive woman.

She had to take a break when she was only half-finished washing and waxing the Toyhauler. I tried not to make a scene. I’m a fair man. I tell her to fix herself a nice, big, cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade and just sit for a while. And, as long as she is making one for herself, she may as well make one for me, too.

I know that I probably look like a saint in the way I support her. I’m not saying that showing this much consideration is easy. Many men will find it difficult. Some will find it impossible! Nobody knows better than I do how frustrating women get as they get older. However, guys, even if you just use a little more tact and less criticism of your aging girlfriend or wife because of this post, I will consider that writing it was well worthwhile.
