Urea = pee, but not really. The Urea tank has been nicknamed a pee tank but although some people have asked this question you can't just pee in the tank.
Ford and Chevy have an extra thank that needs to be filled with Urea, I have read that the Urea will not need to be filled between oil changes so every time you change the oil you need to fill the Urea which is and added expense and adds to the things that can go wrong.
The Urea is injected into the fuel mix to help cleanup emissions, Dodge (Cummins) has figured out a way to clean up emissions by using a regen system and as others have reported it does not seem to be necessary with the type of driving most of us do.
Basically the regen system regenerates hot exhaust gasses into a catalyst which burns off any Particulate Matter (PM) pollutants
