Well we finally did it!!!

Well it only took Dutch 17 years to find a replacement for our beloved 1996 Dodge Ram 3500 dually. We are leaving her here in Missoula Montana tomorrow with 341,796 miles on her and she still looks and rides great. We are driving out in our 2014 Ram 3500 dually single cab truck. It is an awesome color-Western Brown Pearl and it just sparkles all over the place. We picked that color because it looks great with our Carriage paint job colors.
We left our beloved 1996 Dodge Ram at the dealership still looking and running great. She had 341,796 miles on her.
Hope to have you see it in person but we are heading straight south then west for a bit. Hugs, Di

ps Would like to post a picture but still having trouble. Can anyone help??
  • The '14 Rams are out on the dealer lots but not many. I've seen a few 3500s but no '14 2500s yet with the new coil springs.
  • Thank you. We ordered ours back in July and it just arrived last week. Di

Congrats on the new ride! I didn't think the '14 RAMs were out yet.

Was that 341K miled Dodge truck a diesel? I onlt had one car I got over 300K on, and I sold it too when it was running fine with no issues @ 16-years of age, w/305K miles. A Mercedes-Benz 3.0 liter, straight 5 cylinder turbodiesel. Probably the best engined diesel I'll ever own.

Since then I've had two more I6 3.0 and 3.2 liter turbodiesel cars by Mercedes-Benz. I must say that I like my 7.3 liter Ford PSD E450 powered Class C very much though.

Thanks for the story! I know nothiung about posting pictures beyond Michael Douglas' mug from the movie; 'Falling Down' below here> Ha!
  • Best of luck with the new tow dog......Hope you have a load of very pleasurable miles out of it.
