where did you buy wheels/tires

I am in the market for new 16" wheels and LT tires. I like the idea of ordering online and having them shipped mounted/balanced so I can put them on at my leisure in front of my house.

Where did/would you buy? Online? What website? Local tire shop? Who will not have a problem with LTs on a trailer? Any help would be appreciated.

I bought a set of 5 Sumec 16" wheels & mounted tires on ebay for $200 each. The tires were STs though but were adequate for the travel trailer they were mounted on.

Just replaced my LT Highway Scout tires by General, date code 2804, They still looked good but were 12 years old, original equipt. on Cardinal 30LE

I went in on a Saturday and ordered the wheels and tires I wanted at Discount Tire. Pulled the 5ver into their lot the following Saturday and they changed them out for me right there. Also take all our other cars and trucks there for tires. First time to order wheels, but no issues and have been more comfortable with the 16" LTs over the 15" STs.

I have suggested for several years now when someone is dealing on a new RV that has POS tires on it just before you sign on the dotted line say "there is just on more thing I want then I will sign" ! Works every time.

In fact , I had to argue with them -- they said swapping to those tires will void the warranty.. ok sure it will... it is an option you goof ball.. Go check it out... after a short huddle and phone call all was good

I went cheap on the spare, steel wheel and a Westlake tire. Based on the "G" spare that had many thousands of miles had never hit the road. I sold all five GY "G" 16" tires and aluminum wheels on CL for $1,000.

To me the Aloca's were worth the extra $$$

Completely agree! Ordered 17.5" GY "H" and Alcoa wheels mounted and balanced shipped to my front door.

Yup... Got my 17.5 GY's and my Alcoa wheels from there also... Set of 5 , mounted...aired up ..balanced .. And shipped to my door ..great place to deal with...
