I recommend airbags with any heavy fiver. I have yet to see anyone towing 30K lbs. with a 2500. I tow 19K lb fiver that is 43 feet long and I know its back there with my 2012 3500 High output.
The 30K pulling machine is the 2013 Cummins with 850 lbs. of torque with the AISIN transmission. NO GAS engine in any of the tow vehicles will smell that kind of weight let alone tow my fiver.
Get the airbags and keep your tires at the right pressure. If you are still uncomfortable I would say trade up to a 3500.. You will be good to go...!
