Insight re: purchase
Hello, seeking insight: we are considering an opportunity to purchase an "older" 5th wheel - approx 13-14 yrs old. Not used for over the road travel, rather a seasonal site. Our intended use would be similar in same location. Seeing lifespan estimates about 5th wheels and trailers in general online, feeling a bit nervous about a big investment ($18k), but it does on the whole seems clean, very well kept and maintained, and like it is a decent deal vs what we are seeing for the range on newer models. Was hoping for #1: any considerations and thoughts about buying a used model in this age bracket - does it matter if it hasn't been on the road (surely tires are shot just from sitting). Amd #2: Would also appreciate specific things to look at and watch out for when considering purchase and going to look it over in person. Thanks in advance!67Views0likes7CommentsAdventures in our Keystone
Hi all! I am new to the community but wanted to share about our first real adventure with friends! We took our Keystone Cougar to the great state of Arizona and it was an absolute blast! Cruising through the Arizona desert and winding roads felt like a real-life adventure especially cause we have spent our whole lives in the Midwest! Let me tell you the Grand Canyon and Sedona did not disappoint! Evenings were all about campfires, stargazing, and swapping stories with fellow road warriors. Honestly, this RV trip was less of a vacation and more of a wild ride through the heart of the Southwest. I can tell you this will not be our last trip to Arizona. Any suggestions on where we should head to next? Darcey really wants to continue into southern California!2.1KViews2likes12Comments
