Full timing again in my B, so I'm pretty sure the ants aren't going to make my Roadtrek structurally unsound, but what are they eating? They're not touching my food, not even the banana I leave out every night.It was stored while I was away on one of Uncle's trips for 11 months, so I'm sure they climbed aboard via the electric cable, so they're Texas ants, but not fire ants. Haven't been bit, and they've apparently survived the very old ant baits I put out years ago.I'm inclined to leave them alone unless I get bit, or one of y'all points out a good reason to do them in. There's no wemin aboard, so I'm not yet under any obligation to kill them w/ fire.

If they are carpenter ants, they will destroy the wood in your coach.

I used windex on ants inside. Destroys their trail. Find their point of entry outside and spray with insecticide.

Do them in! Really, do them in! Trust me on that one.I had them enter via the shore power cable on a project I was working on. They wouldn't go away no matter what I did.3 years later they had become a total and true menace.I discovered they built a nest inside my roof of my TT and were breeding there.Trust me, you DO NOT WANT that. I went through absolute misery trying to eradicate them. they multiplied and they were everywhere. I finally found a bait they liked, a poison they hauled back to momma and it finally, after 3 years, wiped out the nest, killed them all. They were in my light fixtures, they were all over my ceiling, in my cupboards, all over the floor, everywhere. Trust me, take the steps needed NOW and get rid of them so you don't have to go through what I did.

I totally agree. You need to get rid of them. I got ants in an RV park in CA. They will take over. The ants I had came up the jacks.

Google "crazy ants". Not kidding, it's a new ant that is the only predator for fire ants. They are small, do not eat sweets and stuff like others ants and are a pain to get rid of. They are invading areas of the US and Texas is one place where they are. Lots of info online.

I've not seen the ants since, so maybe that little bit of Terro that spilled everywhere did the trick.

OK - Terro is NOT for use in B's. We drive B's. Terro spills all over the place & is sticky as all get out. Maybe for use in RV's that are parked long term, but the point of a B is to drive - a lot. Terro has to sit very, very still.

I have put out the Terro, we'll see how that does. Happy surprise - this Wal-Mart has .22" LR in stock.

Terro should work on the little guys. Spotted some ants in the external access to the refer burner in our new to us TT. I'll probably put some terro in there when I go down to clean out the burner.

We have problems with them in our mfg home periodically. Tempted to throw a couple bombs underneath once the weather dries out in the spring in hopes that I'll get the "wanderers" that I can't quite figure out where they come from.

Terro is a syrup type substance. If you get it in the little containers it should stay in place. You can also get it in a small bottle and you put a couple drops on a piece of cardboard an place it in spots where they are running. It's like thick pancake syrup. Wally World sells it.

I agree on the Terro, we have used it very successfully many times. It works very well but maybe not for everything. If you could give a description of the ants we may be able to help select the best product for you.

They're small, fast, black ants. If they're eating the wood, I agree, I have to get rid of them. If they're just eating all the debris & mold out of my drains and nooks & crannies, I don't have anything against 'em. They're not touching my food, which is why I'm curious.
