I have a 5th wheel 1989 Terry by Fleetwood. I'm wondering about my breaker box, I just got some new breakers for it and was wondering if I can upgrade my main breaker from 30 amp to 40 or 50 amp? would it cause any electrical issues? I was gonna add in another breaker that'll power maybe 2-3 outlets and I don't want my main breaker flipping due to excess load. I don't want to cause any electrical fires when I'm away from my camper especially since winter is coming up and I'll be maybe running one heater and and thermal wrap to keep my water from freezing.   ... we have a 2017 montana. i was told by the rv waxing person that off white color is the hardest to to work with. he said he needed to compound it the polish and wax it. then wash and wax it every 6 months to keep it up. 1,100 for this. what are your thoughts? ... View more

I am getting ready to become a full timer but still want to generate some income. Would any of you folks that have been full timing consider using a mobile RV service for work needed on your rigs? I have been a service tech for most of my career and do all the work required to my own rig. I'm talking about services like AC service/repair or water heater/furnace work. We're in Putnam County FL on a relative's property but found out after we moved in that I was misreading the county zoning ordinances and we really aren't permitted to live here full-time. I've not found any FL counties that allow living full-time on your own property except a rumor that Taylor County allows up to four on one lot. I need to call them to find out. I'm planning to full time in an RV again starting next Spring and I am covered by Medicare now. Last time I had no health insurance (I've usually been healthy and I've been 'naked' before). I've been on a Medicare Advantage plan (MA) which reduced my Part B premium by about $79 a month. They've canceled that plan so next year (now, starting Oct 15) I need to find a new one. I see some other MA plans that give me a Part B refund and I would like to start off with one of those. I plan to hit the road at the end of March and I don't know what to do then. Will an MA plan offer any coverage while I'm traveling? I've heard that regular Medicare would cover me anywhere in the US. If I go MA would HMO or PPO work better? I will probably spend the Summer in one general area up North and then travel back South in the Fall, so I think I could switch my MA plan to a different zip code in the Summer and then again in the Winter, but part of the time I will be on the road traveling. Hello, I'm 53 and am being pushed out of the housing market thanks to all the people moving here to our small affordable town. Like everywhere, it's getting really hard to afford rent and impossible to buy a home.  A friend has offered to let me live in her backyard and live in a 5th wheel trailer for a couple years while I build an ADU. I thought it would be simple to just go buy a nice used 5th wheel , there's tons of them, real nice ones for under 30k. My budget will be financing and 30k is the absolute top of my budget. The problems I'm starting to face are numerous.  Keeping cool in our hot Summer's, keeping warm in winter (we rarely get too much below freezing, usually mid 20s @ the lowest but it can get 100 to 110 in summer and I can't handle the heat at all. So as I'm researching more and more and more, I feel like it's all really confusing, so much to think about, insulation, heating, air conditioning, freezing pipes, power supply, water and sewage. I have a lot more to think about than I realized.   Do you live full time in a 5th wheel full time? I sure could use some guidance about all weather 5th wheels and what brands are best suited for year round living but everything I'm reading online gets to be contradictory after a while and very confusing.   Any guidance to get me on the right path will be much appreciated.   Thank. ... Apparently every time you order/transfer meds at a new Walmart another profile is created in the main database. Seems we now have too many and latest transfer request created problems. I am looking at a used unit, whose manufacturer has gone out of biz. The brochure mentions the heat pump as an option, but can't tell if this particular unit has one or not. Salesman says it says, "RV Comfort" on the thermostat and thinks that it is. Is there any way to examine the unit to tell? And would a heat pump unit be better in hot and humid climates?
