As much as we like and enjoy our pets, you're not going to protect these items from wear and tear. Nothing last forever. Guess you're just going to have to keep replacing the throws if you allow your pets on them. JMHO
  • We bought some custom made cushion covers for our sofa. We ordered them online from slipcovershop.com
They give easy instructions on how to measure.

They also make covers for the entire sofa, but we didn't get that.

One of our dogs liked to lay on the back of our chair, it got quite dirty.
We don't like the feel of leather (or vinyl, or whatever it is), we prefer the cloth covers.

We have the cushion covers in our house, too, and they've held up fine and are washable.
  • DW custom made cushion covers. Fit perfect and washable. Fortunately my DW loves to sew. It isn't dirt and hair. Pets do cause scratches on leather. Before that we used a blanket but it was a PITA
  • I got big fleece blankets or yardage and tucked them into the furniture. I sewed some pleats and elastic bands to the corners to fit tighter. They last and are easy to wash/dry.
  • Protect from what? I think I'd rather enjoy the nice leather than sit on covers.
