If I was going to New Mexico I'd spend two weeks at Poncho Villa State Park, then Rockhound State Park, then City of Rocks State Park and then Silver City. Next I'd head to Elephant Butte and if you haven't been to Carlsbad, Brantley Lake State Park Lots of driving but great fun.
