I'm looking for a better oven for my 5er. Have looked at them in a lot of brands and all pretty much the same. One center heating element that burns the middle and leaves the edges raw. Anybody know of something better?

X2...love the convection oven. It bakes everything perfectly.

I use my oven regularly. An air bake sheet works well to distribute heat evenly. I wouldn't be without my oven.

We don't use the built in oven...it's storage for pots and pans.

What we have is the NuWave Oven that sits on a counter-top. Place food, fresh or frozen into the oven. There is no need to preheat or defrost. Try multi-layer cooking by placing different foods on each layer, saving both time and energy.

NuWave Oven automatically cooks on power level HI so there is no need to select the power level unless you want to cook on a lower temperature setting. Simply set the timer, press the "start" button and wait for your food to be done.

Below was our Christmas dinner on the road last year;

If you have room, get a Breville Electric convection oven. We have one in the house and when we go on longer trips it goes with us. It takes a 14" X 14" pan so not small but it is simply the best oven we have ever used. Heats up an a few minutes and is precise and cooks evenly.

You can do deep dish casseroles in it, pizzas, etc.

We have the standard 1 shelf oven in our Motorhome and use it all the time. Our son loves DiGiorno Pizza. He usually has 1 a week. It bakes very nicely in the oven. The rack is set at the highest setting and the pizza goes directly on the rack. We don't use a pizza stone or a ceramic tile. Our son is very picky and would definitely let us know if there was an issue. We baked many DiGiorno Pizzas in the RV oven this summer.

We also like to make sausage biscuits. Our biscuits bake up nicely in the oven as well. We do use parchment on the baking sheet.

We have never had good luck baking in an RV gas oven. My MH came without an oven. It had a microwave conv oven. It was almost a deal breaker. Dealer explained easy job to add an oven later by removing drawer under the gas range. After using the convection oven I would never go back to an RV with a gas range oven. DW likes the convection oven.

I've also been told to get a toaster oven. Does anyone know of a residential oven/stove in any brand of RV?

I tried pizza stone and unglazed clay floor tile......didn't help mine at all. I believe mine has a problem that's different. My oven's temp fluctuates ...set it at 350 and it goes up to 450, then down to 275. I bought a oven/conv oven/toast/broiler at Costco for $49.00 ....works better than ANY oven I've EVER owned. small though. The oven in the stove is now my bread box.

Pizza stone or an unglazed clay floor tile works wonders in an RV oven.
