Where do you spend your winters?

As fulltimers we go south when it's cold up north and north with it's hot down south. We have "wintered" in Key West and southern Texas. I'd be interested in knowing what good spots are out there that we haven't considered yet.

Please share your favorite winter locations and please include the RV park/campground that you liked best there.

Southern Arizona is very popular, especially Yuma.

People I have talked to say they either love or hate Yuma.

The lovers always say it's a cheap place to stay.

The haters always say it's dusty and dirty and the "blue haired " locals are very rude in the grocery store.

Never stayed my self just driven thru. Did not look like much from the interstate.

We stay mostly stay in the Coachella Valley, Palm Springs area and Sedona/Verde Valley AZ in the winters. Low humidity and warm weather. LOTS to do!

We spent a week in Yuma - that was about 5 days to long. Unless you have lots of friends there just isn't a lot to do, limited shopping, and next to nothing in the way of cultural events. That is why we like Mesa, AZ.

Based on friends opinions that have a similar lifestyle we won't be staying in Yuma.

I'm currently in Statesboro GA at the Parkwood RV Park. Its warmer than in New England and Cooler that south FL. And it only cost $420 a month for full hookups, good wifi and cable tv.

I spend my winters at the western edge of the Ozarks, with occasional retreats to Houston, San Antonio, or the Gulf Coast. That way I get winter, but not too much or too long.

Santa Maria, Ca, along with Solvang, Pismo Beach, Grover Beach. Can't beat the weather. Google this area, and see for yourself. Good Luck P.S. Hidden gems are Vandenberg AFB or Camp Roberts.

I'm in Sequim, WA, same as last winter. If you can deal with the rain - this winter: what rain? - you're all set. I'm at a park with about 15 FTers staying the winter. About half I knew from last winter. It's very relaxing here. The clubhouse is being remodeled this month. Several of us volunteered our labor. I contributed by painting the ceilings on a couple of overnights.

No snowbirding for me. No 1,400 miles (of fuel) down and back. I detail the rig in the Spring and I'm good to go RVing around the PNW all summer.

North Central Florida west side.

Took me 6 years of full timing to discover this area. The Springs are spectacular and CG rates unbelievable compared to down south.

Wish I would have found it sooner!

Gulf Coast of FL along Hwy 19. We use to do the other coast but this year we switch coasts. Traffic much lighter on this side above Holiday and weather a little cooler. we found a nice park in Hudson and there are several in the area with openings.
