- MrsMingoExplorer14 years full-timing, DH was 55 and I was 47. Hopefully another 10!
- CabinetmakerIIExplorerSnowbirds the past 4 years. Winter in Arizona, summer in Idaho. Went FT July 12th 2014 and have not looked back. Currently on a road trip to Maine. Made it to Portland Maine today. The colors are late this year. Go figure. Next summer we are headed for Alaska. After that, who knows. What ever way the wind blows, we will go the other way! We will do the FT thing as long as possible. Lots of people out there we haven't met yet. See you around the Camp Fire!
- SCRExplorer18 years, about another 8 months and it's squat time.
- hitchupExplorerWe started fulltiming before retirement when the opportunity arose. We keep postponing retirement, although I started getting my checks last year. The way the stock market fluctuates, we may have to continue to postpone so we can afford to travel.
Our plans keep changing, we're in our 11th year and I could travel for another 10, but Life may change our plans, just like it always does. - John___AngelaExplorer12 years. Semi retired at 41 and work 5 to 6 months a year since then. Covered a lot of territory on 4 continents and still a lot more to see.
- Dog_FolksExplorer9 1/2 years now. Will keep going as long as health allows.
- jrpExplorerretired 8 yrs; first 4 yrs were fulltime RV travels, now an RV snowbird with summer/winter homebases

If you started full-timing following retirement, how many years has it been and how many more years do you plan on?
Thanks! - mikensallytExplorerBeen at it for eight months now since I retired (twice now)and loving it. Still have my S n B place with a soon to be 17 year old son along with my daughter plus three grand kids living there. Not really full timing yet per see, since I cant displace my family. I spend one week a month with them and the rest of the time out on the road just for ME :) Seems to work for us. And now with cooler temps I will spend more time away and spend a week once every two months with them, well maybe just a few nights, lol.
Not in a hurry to get there any longer.
