Seems reasonable to show the newcomer where he can go to get the answers to a lot of his questions. Perhaps the responder may have been a bit short, but he'll get a lot more info on that forum than in the "Fifth-Wheel" forum.

At least he didn't just come back with "Do a Search". :)
