Just saw this unit on Craigs List (Louisville RVs) for the first time. The ad calls it 42' in the title and 41' in the description and claims 36000 miles. I was considering a road trip to check it out and just wanted to see if anyone was familiar with these or knows of a reason to avoid them.

Years ago, toured their factory in Elkhart, IN. Was not aware they built on the west coast.

Overland at one time built motor homes in Orange county CA. We bought ours in 1977. Was decent, nothing outstanding. If I remember correctly they were bought out sometime between 77 and into the 90s. Anything now is so old that it is all irrelivant at this point. What matters most now is overall condition andm whether there has ever been any leaks.

In it's time it was a very good motorhome, mid level to higher. We looked at a Overland Osprey in 2002 or 2003. It was one of the last ones they built, with under 1500 miles on it. Beautiful motorhome that was on consignment in Elkhart, owned by bank that got it when Overland failed.
