I don't know about Chevy but Ford has about 4 different solenoids under the hood that are connected to starting in addition to the one attached to the starter.
Mine wouldn't start either called mobile repair only to find out about all these solenoids!:S
Checked 'all' the solenoids and found the one on the fender wall needed replacing. :R Cheap easy fix.
