800 hours on an 1987 Onan genset. Rebuild engine?

My 1987 Onan 6700 watt/50amp genset shows just shy of 800 hours use. Nothing's wrong with it so far, just wondering how many hours of use I can expect, before it's going to need a engine rebuild. I know that's subjective to how it's been maintained in the past.

That's sort of like saying you're going to rebuild the MH engine even though there's nothing wrong with it.

Dont be rude. I know something about vehicle engines, nothing about these small engines. I wasnt sure if 800 hours was a lot or not, thats why I asked.
x2 if you have nothing worth adding just don't post anything IMHO

As a Senior Member, you should have read several of the posts that pop up every three or four months discussing how many (or lots and lots of) hours people have on their gen sets that are still running fine

I have an Onan 8000 Quiet Diesel with over 2000 hours on it. So far, just routine maintenance iaw the service manual. No need for a rebuild at only 800 hours. The one thing I would suggest to you is to take a good look at all the hoses. If they are more than 6 or 7 years old, it might be time to change them out with fresh rubber. Good Luck!

My generator is just shy of 10,000 hours and still working great. It has has some minor work done but as long as the genset works as expected there is no reason to believe that anything other than normal maintenance needs to be done.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

10,000hours on gas genset is a lot of hours. 800 is nothing.

at 800 hours assuming reasonable maintenance, your genset is hardly broken in. you will more likely have issues from lack of use long before you wear it out. You need to run it 2 hours a month under load. This keeps everything lubes and pliable Seals don't take a set etc.

Maybe 10,000 - 15,000 hours.
800 is nothing.
