ok I am vnew at this as you can see. I have a roadtrek versatile 1992 and want to install air in the unit. I have been checking all over for a unit to fit into shelving below the area in order to have one fit. I really would like some pictures to help me out a bit any help would be appreciated Ann
I found one across the border that is called the mini window air conditioner and is only half an inch higher than the spot it has to go through. I will be on here many times asking for advise once I have it ready to install thank you all for your help and pictures Ann
See Picture In My Profile I have a 1989 Dodge XPLORER RV Class B - Purchased 10/15/10 IN CASH Fiance' purchased a Class C 2002 Dynamax Carri-go on 5/1/15 IN CASH We've got the best of both worlds
f you go to the Roadtrek web site you can download the brochures with pictures. My '95 they show pics of the AC as it is mounted They may do that for '92 also.
It could be a lot of work trying to install an A/C at the back of your 1992 Roadtrek because I am not sure that Roadtrek even installed A/C's back in 1992. I believe that "bsinmich" has the right idea, simply replace the fantastic vent (fan) with a standard RV A/C, remember you will be adding about 9 inches of height to your RV.
|I was quoted 1500 for roof air. I would like to see some pictures of the air conditioners in a roadtrek and then I would know a little more how it is installed Ann
I would give a call to Roadtrek. they are in Kitchener, Ontario. If there was never an AC in the unit it may just be simpler to put one into the 14" roof vent. That is a standard size and the same as the RV ACs. The only disadvantage would be raising the overall height by about 8".
