Still looking around for the diesel pusher that will meet most of our desires and needs. Looked at a nice clean 03 41' Dynasty Monday with 30K miles and would like to know if any here have one of these? I know I was all Newmar before and still pretty much am but, these seem like quality coaches too.

The link that you listed must be of a different unit as they have it priced at $67,500. It is mostly grey in color on the outside. A new set of Michelin's should run a little over $6,000 through the FMCA program. Buy it at $67,500 and buy your own tires!

no one in their right mind would pay $6000 for new tires
there are many many cheaper and as good or better alternatives out there

there is 700 plus hours on genny, for some reason I thought it was 12,500, its 10K. My wife really has her mind made up on having a actual hide a bed, incase another couple comes with, that means bigger slide or 2 slides in living area. This is a beauty though

Hey Dean,

First, there are a few things that pop out. The tires look low and a couple of screw covers are missing on the front tire. Makes me think those are small things to fix, why weren't they fixed?

The price certainly doesn't seem bad but plan on a reserve fund just in case. It certainly didn't sit with 136,000 miles on it which is actually a good thing.

The Diamond is very similar in the bath area to our Dynasty. If we weren't 3/4 timing it I'd stay with what we have as it's is now properly farkled, HD Travler, Residential Refer, etc. So room is the goal for us. That and reliability. I won't put up with equipment that doesn't work and having records and someone to chat with about issues has real value to me. On our way to FL from CO we will stop and look. At that price point I think you will sell it fast.

That all said, Your discussion about your Prevost purchase has my gears turning. I plan to make our second Coach purchase our last. Cost of ownership for the next 15 years makes me ponder. While a 7 year old Dynasty has a lot of depreciation left a 12 YO provost or Newell has much less depreciation left. I've seen both offered with in the same range of prices. For example, The Sig offered at MHT is 15k more than a pristine Newell only 3 years older…… Momma has the hammer on the floor plan. I have the the chassis responsibility and I am a firm believer that too much Horsepower is a good start.

We discovered the Royale conversions. Prevost on the outside, Monaco on the inside….what could be better? I hear occasional mention of basement air issues on older Prevosts so much research to do and things to learn.

Life is grand!

We have the same floorplan as MM and I can tell you it is a great plan. Spacious efficient use of space. To get the quality of an 08 Dynasty in a new one you would have to pay over $550,000. They do not make them like that anymore. The Roadmaster 10 bag S series is a high end chassis that is too expensive for mfrs. to duplicate!

JetAonly, ours is the Diamond IV floor plan. The bath is in the middle, with a sink and shower on one side and a private lavatory on the other (sink and toilet).

They also have a 2006 Monaco Signature that looks really good in the pics w/600 Cummins, I didn't see it in person which is 30K more than ours (asking). They also have a lot of Foretravels.

Ours should be up on the website by the end of this week.

Good luck on your search,
MM.

Well, if you want a little newer, I know of one that might fit the bill. You will not have to change out the TV's, etc.

MM.

I intend to look, we will be down that way in a few weeks. Which Floorplan?

Someone had mentioned that it was sitting a lot since the mileage was at 30k, I guess that could mean rust underneath, specially if it was sitting on the gravel or dirt, I've seen what that can do first hand. I do not want rust, main reason why we go south to buy

Dynasty's of that vintage should be undercoated, mine is. FWIW, although the Monaco brand has changed hands a couple of times I have been able source everything either from the presently owned Monaco or the original vendors. The vendors that have gone under have functional equivalents. Ours has shrunk now that I have retired and we intend to replace it with an '05 or '06 Dynasty or above.

Mr Mark, if I had a little more dollars to spend I would fly down there, sounds like you take good care of your purchases.
