Hi fellow travellers, We are looking at a 2000 Fleetwood Storm tommorow & would like any feed back from owners. The coach in question has only has 16k miles on it. Looks pretty clean in the pictures. Anything we should focus on, or ask the seller when looking at it tommorow? Oh, the selling price is $15K ..he has a loan on it & cant afford the payments anymore.he is selling it at a loss.
Thanks in advance for the help!

I have an 06 Ford gas MH and have gone all over the West..True, not the power of a diesel typically but no issues over the mtns..I also pull a 4K pound Jeep.....Just have to know up front you are not going to set any speed records going uphill..But, I rarely slow under 45 or so up the steepest grades..

Ford changed to the 3v higher HP/torque engine in 06......

Have a 2000 model with the ford v10. It has plenty of power unless you want to do 75 mph uphill. As many people have stated, it is a high revving engine and you have to keep the rpm's up on hills. We are all use to driving cars and driving a MH is different.
If it looks good and the price is right buy it.

There were a lot of changes to the V10 over the years. Look at the specifics of the unit you are looking at. The early V10 had 2 valves per cylider. At some point the engine was changed to a higher hp with 3 valves per cylinder. I have a 2012 Storm (2011 chassis). Plenty of power for what I need.

A neighbor of ours just sold their '06 Storm because it was SO underpowered. They owned it for about a year. It was a gasser but I don't know which engine. It was so bad, they would not even attempt to go anwhere that required uphill....which is just about all of Colorado.
