Barometric function on the Exhaust fan switch

I have looked for info on line, and so far, haven't had any luck. The main exhaust fan/hatch over the kitchen area --the furthest forward of three --has a 3 speed, a bi directional, and a 'temp' switch in the well of its housing. It seems to be an auto close feature for when it rains. The other two are manual crank/switches.

When it's real muggy, and/or threatening, the motor closes it. No matter where I turn the 'temp' switch. it won't open -- until the weather/humidity clears.

Any one know how to override/ mitigate this feature?

My guess is the rain sensor is getting damp enough to want to close it. You might get up on the roof and clean the dirt and dust off the sensor and see if that helps.

since I wouldn't trust the auto close feature anyhow, I would just bypass, or cut that switch wiring myself.
