Bedroom tv mount

Been lurking for 4 years and just purchased a 2017 Thor four winds 28z. Question I am planning on mounting a tv in bedroom but the wall seems flimsy. What would be the best way to mount? Looks like screws or bolts will protrude through bathroom cabinet. I am planning to use washers or a block of wood to add additional support. Will this work and what have you done to mount the tv.
Thanks in advance for your help.

You are correct, we have the opening and I have a mount. The wall feels flimsy and I was thinking as suggested to install a board to mount it to which would give it the needed support. The frame of the opening is solid so that is what I can attach the board to.

Use your stud finder to find the studs accurately and mount a 3/4 inch decorative large board to the studs, then glue and screw some pieces to that and screw in your swing away mounts. It's the only safe way to have it there. When I put the mount onto the pieces, I also put in some belt like material with velcro ends that will pull the TV tight in and hold it there while travelling.

I believe he has the cut out in the wall, just doesn't have the proper mount.

What we would here is put up a back board and mount the TV mount to it using standard wood screws.

No way with the flimsy walls support any screws in it - they will just pull through with the load of the TV set...

Something like this perhaps:

or this:

Sometimes you can mount to the inside of an existing cabinet like this:

I see that the optional bedroom TV is mounted in the wall, as opposed to the more common, mount on the wall.

Thanks for the quick reply. It has the opening for the tv and the connections in fact I have the tv hooked up to make sure it works. The wall just does not feel robust. Might have to drill a pilot hole to see what it is like.

first contact the manufacturer. they can tell you exactly where it should/can go without riddling your wall with holes.

There is a TV etc. shelf in our rear bedroom. We just place our 24" flat screen TV on the bed while traveling and set it on the shelf for viewing. No sturdy way to mount on wall except maybe mounting to the built-in shelf.

I see that RV has an optional wall mounted TV in the bedroom. Any chance of seeing another one on a lot and checking to see where its mounted and the type of mount that's used ? Chances are your MH might have the needed reinforcement in your wall. You can feel around for any bracing behind the wall, take off the wall covering or call Thor for advice. Do you have a TV cable connection somewhere on the bathroom wall ?
